Overview

Warstock was founded durring the early 15th century in summer of the year 1441, by Laurie Fearon. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Warstock was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Warstock is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Warstock is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of restrictive gravel streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks and fences to provide minimal protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Unfortuantly, these somewhat suffishent are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Warstock is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the town like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife. You get the terrible feeling that whatever it was, the wound it left will simply never heal. This town is as a necropolice.

Civic Infrastructure

Warstock has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Warstock.

Warstock has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Warstock has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

There’s more than one leader in Warstock, but at least some of them are at each other’s throats. It might be a conflict between formal leadership and informal authorities, or it could be a struggle among civil officials. Their interests might diverge sharply, or it could be a personal grudge that’s boiled over. Outside threats and internal problems are likely being ignored until the power struggle is resolved.

Warstock's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. Low-relief decorative panels can be found at entrances, around windows, along roof edges or as string courses. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. Decorative details can incorporate various artistic or exotic motifs to suit the building's function or the architect's whim. Chevrons, zigzags, and other geometrical motifs are common forms of ornament.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is short in Warstock.

The Church Grim near Warstock are known to be quite timid.

Warstock's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves line dance to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 2 via recitation of scripture.
